NXLVL is for competing hard and treating people well. These guidelines apply everywhere on NXLVL: profiles, posts, comments, chats, match rooms and events. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Respect people
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging others to pile on someone.
- No hate speech: attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar traits.
- No sharing other people's private information (real name, address, phone number, school, photos) without their permission.
- Trash talk about the game is fine. Attacking the person is not.
Play fair
- No cheats, hacks, exploits, or unauthorized third-party tools in matches.
- No match fixing, throwing, or arranging results.
- No account sharing or playing on someone else's account, and no smurfing to get around an event's rules.
- Report results honestly, and only upload screenshots that are real and unedited.
- Show up for matches you signed up for, or tell the organizer you can't.
Be honest
- No pretending to be another player, team, organization, staff member, or brand.
- No scams, fake giveaways, or fake tournaments.
- No fake or edited proof of payment.
Keep content appropriate
- No sexual content or nudity. Many players are teenagers.
- No graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm.
- No spam, repeated posts, unsolicited ads, or links to malware or phishing.
- Only post content you have the right to share.
- Nothing illegal, including content that promotes illegal gambling.
If you organize events
- Publish clear rules, schedules and prizes before registration opens.
- Pay out the prizes you promise, and handle refunds the way you said you would.
- Treat every entrant the same, and resolve disputes fairly and on the record.
- Only use payment proof and entrant details to run your event. Do not share them.
- Follow any laws that apply to your event, including age limits for paid entry or prizes.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report option on the profile, post, comment, message, team, organization or tournament. Reports are private: the person you report is never told who reported them.
Please report in good faith. Filing false or retaliatory reports is itself against these guidelines. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may:
- dismiss the report if nothing broke the rules;
- send a warning;
- remove the content;
- suspend the account for a period of time (a timeout); or
- permanently ban the account.
Serious cases, such as threats, scams or sexual content involving minors, can lead to an immediate ban and may be reported to the authorities. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal.
